You would be working on a variety of projects to support the team and work alongside our co consultants to advise clients on the promotion of development schemes through Local Plans and planning applications.

At least a 2:1 or equivalent at first degree, a Masters degree in RTPI accredited subject and you will have obtained your MRTPI or be on the path to chartership.

We would expect our candidate to have a proactive approach with their time management for a variety of projects and aspire to demonstrate high-quality working practices in support of our three key principles. Strong analytical skills are required for the role. We would like our candidate to have strong writing and presentation skills with a commitment to continue to innovate and improve our forward-thinking approach.

As a Senior/Principal Planner, you will work on a variety of projects, advising clients and supporting the promotion of development schemes through the planning process.

You will also play an important role within the team, helping to manage project work, support colleagues and maintain the high standards our clients expect. In the role, you will be expected to:

• establish and strengthen relationships with colleagues, consultants and clients;
• work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results;
• support colleagues at different stages of their planning careers;
• prepare reports, technical assessments and clear planning advice;
• manage your time across a varied project workload;
• work efficiently, effectively and honestly, leading by example.

We are looking for someone with at least a 2:1 or equivalent at first degree level, along with a master’s degree in an RTPI-accredited subject. You will have obtained your MRTPI or be on the path to chartership.

You will need strong analytical, writing and presentation skills, along with the confidence to provide clear advice and respectfully challenge where needed. This senior or principal town planner role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with clients, consultants and colleagues to help projects move forward.
