The client

Arnold White Group are a family-owned business tracing its beginnings back over 100 years. They have grown from quarrying and selling high quality sand into a multi-disciplined company with interests in renewable energy generation, land promotion and development with a vision to create future proof, sustainable developments.

The challenge

Arrow Planning prepared the submission of a flagship planning application on a site south of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, located within the Green Belt. The development will create a new renewable energy park which will be an exemplar of green energy generation.

 

The solution

The proposals involved the creation of an energy park (solar and wind renewables), energy storage facilities and EV charging, along with new highways infrastructure.

The development will be carbon neutral, contributing to the Government’s objectives on tackling climate change, whilst also generating renewable energy to work towards national green energy goals.
